Overview — 001

Catch a problem early and it's nearly always quicker, simpler and cheaper to sort out.

There's a lot more to a check-up than a quick look for holes. We go through your teeth, gums, any existing dental work and your general oral health, watching for the first signs of decay, gum disease, wear and anything else that might affect your smile. Where X-rays are clinically needed, they're included in the examination at no extra cost.

  • Thorough examination by an experienced dentist
  • X-rays included whenever clinically necessary
  • Early detection of dental problems
  • Oral cancer screening included
  • Personalised advice for maintaining your smile
  • Clear explanation of any treatment options
The process — 002

How it goes, step by step.

4 stages
  1. 01
    5–10 min

    Medical history

We go over your medical history, talk through any worries you have, and find out what you're hoping to achieve for your oral health.

  2. 02
    20–30 min

    Comprehensive examination

Your dentist checks over your teeth, gums, bite and any existing dental work as part of a complete oral health assessment.

  3. 03
    5 min

    X-rays (if required)

Where it's clinically justified, digital X-rays are taken to pick up on anything that can't be spotted with the naked eye.

  4. 04
    10 min

    Personalised plan

We talk you through what we've found, answer whatever questions you have, and suggest treatment or preventative care where it's needed.

Questions — 005

The things people actually ask.

Can't see your question? Message us on WhatsApp — we'll reply the same day.

  • Six-monthly check-ups suit most people, though some patients need to come in more or less often depending on their oral health. Your dentist will tell you what interval suits you best.

  • Yes — where your dentist judges an X-ray to be clinically necessary during the appointment, it's included in the price.

  • We start by talking through your dental and medical history, then carry out a thorough examination of your teeth, gums and mouth. Everything we find is explained clearly, and we'll answer your questions before discussing any recommendations.

  • No need to worry — plenty of the patients we see are returning to a dentist after a long gap. Nobody here will judge you; our job is simply to help get your oral health back where it should be.

  • Yes — an oral cancer screening is built into every routine examination we carry out. Spotting changes early can make a real difference to the outcome.

  • Not at all. We'll set out anything we find, explain your options and answer any questions, then leave the decision entirely up to you, in your own time.
